Hanmudo was introduced to Europe
in 1992 by Bob Banham and Henry Chaplin, three years after it was
founded by Dr. He-Young Kimm.
See
HISTORY.
British Hanmudo was subsequently formed as the U.K. governing body. The central
philosophy of Hanmudo is ‘balance’ and as well as providing self defence
techniques for U.S. presidential bodyguards, Mexican law - enforcement
personnel and Dutch police officers, it also furnishes tools for personal
development, de-stressing and health improvement for both adults and
children as young as 4 years old. Our children’s syllabus incorporates
Personal Responsibility Education and we work within many schools and
institutions, providing self development tools for all age groups.
We call it “the complete system of physical and mental self-defence”.
